Cindy has been practicing Yoga since 2011 and graduated from the Ashram Yoga’s first Teaching Training program in 2012. She has trained exclusively with Gary Olson and is trained in Power Yoga, Yin Yoga, Raja meditation and has helped at the Kirkland Ashram Yoga with their Posture Clinics over the years. This has led to her strong foundation in yoga and correct alignment with postures. A principle she believes in firmly is working within ones range of motion, which reduces the risk of injury. Proper alignment can lead to many years of a healthy yoga practice, helping us all age gracefully. She believes yoga can be practiced at any age with proper guidance.
Cindy recently moved to Ellensburg with her husband and son, along with their 4 dogs, and recent addition of a horse. She also is a triathlete, competing in Ironman 70.3 distances and Xterra Off-Road Triathlon. 2017 was the first year competing at the Xterra World Championships in Maui, and again will compete with her husband back in Maui in October 2018. Triathlon is a family affair, and they love traveling and racing together with their son, who acts as the family Sherpa when he is not competing himself.
Life is all about the journey…you don’t have to be the strongest, the smartest, or the best at anything you do. If you enjoy the journey, then your life can be be full of happiness and joy.
