Laurie Lind

Hi, I’m Laurie
Growing up in Kittitas County I have developed a deep appreciation of the outdoors. I love to hike and each year I check off at least one of the more than 700 Alpine Wilderness Lakes . I have been on the Kittitas County Hood to Coast Relay Team for 10 years placing in the top 5 in our division each of those years. I also have a life- long passion of nutrition and natural health care.
I first found yoga right out of High school, with the ONLY local teacher at that time Lori Chandler. It was Love- at- first- class for me, but, as often happens, I put yoga on the shelf for many years while working and raising a family.
As I became older I found myself with chronic, debilitating lower back pain resulting from everyday stress and compounded by scoliosis. I’m thankful everyday that I found my back to yoga and by practicing regularly, today I am pain free, with more mobility and flexibility in my body than I ever thought possible and allowing me to continue the activities that I love, and I am really excited to watch others experience the same transformation and healthy aging through yoga.
My teacher training was through the Seattle Samarya Center with Molly Lannon Kenny in October 2014 and I have attended yearly advanced training, studying with Melina Meza and Baxter Bell with a focus on Yoga for Healthy aging.
